If your local and have a chance to stop by Premium Aquatics the day after Thanksgiving they have awesome items CHEAP. But only for walk ins. 99 cent live rock per lb you pick. Frags for 5 dollars tons of stuff.

This makes me wish my tank was up already <_< . I probably won't have my tank up until we move in another 5 months. It probably wouldn't be a good idea to let the live rock dry out.

at a buck a pound it still wouldn't be a bad idea.

Free turkey and the fixin's with every macro purchased?

Now there is a thought...that would be fine with Priority Mail right?

lol...how funny would it be if you were just a random normal person and landed on this page unknowingly. "Oh man, they have rocks sitting in a bucket of water for a $1 a pound, that is a steal!!!" :) Fish people are strange... :)

I like the idea DHaut has, even if it were just dry dead rock later, at a $1 pound you can't go wrong...

But yes, there will be promos, starting now in fact, I just have to finish typing it up and making sure I have rules for it.

I might just go ahead grab a bucket from Lowes. I planned on buying some of the new Caribbean Reef Rock from John and then seeding it with some live rock from Premium Aquatics since they are down the road from me. Also I have a BC 29g so I don't need that much rock to fill it up.

I could get both and seed John's rock while I wait 5 months to set the thing up when I move...I don't how the wife is going to like that.

So just a heater and a powerhead in a buck of rock and saltwater?

yeah that would be all you need. after a month you will begin to lose the coralline, some light and it rebounds pretty quickly once back in the regular tank...but at 5 months? Not sure...maybe you can throw some light on them in between...

Water changes when/if necessary. 5 months is awhile, you might want to throw a few a few of those in there, probably front load them.
