I want to put one in a tank at work. www.fishsupply.com my friend. We(my friend and I) requested the biggest they had and the guy on the phone said the two we received were Grade A sized. For $25 it's a decent deal, but the shipping is killer. 2 x $25 - Two mantis shrimps $45 - FedEx charge $10 - Box charge Total cost, $105 :*( Link to comment

I imagine the only thing you could keep with them is rock right? Most people keep them in something between 5-20 gallons. If you're seriously considering keeping one you should check out these two sites: http://www.blueboard.com/mantis/index.htm http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/aquarius/ In a large enough tank the fish may have some chance of avoiding capture but they'll pretty much be mantis food when he gets hungry. Of course if you keep him spoiled with feedings he probably won't put much effort into catching a fish. They won't harm corals but may end up moving them if they're on small rocks. Just don't make any plans to put your hands in the tank after that. Link to comment
