johnmaloney
Going to take them off the site for awhile again after this last batch is done. A bargain now at $8.99 - unbeatable price at least. Find it at www.reefcleaners.org Link to comment

johnmaloney
can do. by the way since I have you here...mangrove tunicates are everywhere these days...huge bloom of them it is amazing really. i was thinking of trying to keep one, have you ever heard of success? Link to comment
Deleted User 6
me? i've never known anyone to keep one alive. if it wouldn't crash my tank, i could give it a shot. just use that magic filter food of yours Link to comment
johnmaloney
i was thinking now would be a good time to try, they bloom and recede and this bloom is huge... couldn't find any info other than they can handle large swings in salinity and such...and from where they grow they can handle some poor water conditions...but maybe that is the thing? maybe they need silty food.... I wish scientists would list useful things in reports like "feeds on DTs phyto no greater in size than 5 microns" etc....no acclimation tips whatsoever! lol... Link to comment
star27624
If I ever manage to get the tank set up at work, that might be a good project for students one semester. Link to comment
Deleted User 6
sounds like they're going to need really turbid water. Link to comment
johnmaloney
that makes sense. the bloom must have occurred during the storms here, because when the water cleared (now, last 4 or 5 days), they are everywhere...very large specimens too. Get that tank setup before winter, they seem to die back a bit before it gets cold. Classroom tanks are hard though to keep fragile critters in, with no one to care for them over the weekend ... Outofstock
John did you just take them down? I was mid paying (my shopping cart was saved for a few days) and I updated to 2 reef pods instead of 3 and it told me they were no longer in stock. Did I miss them? Link to comment
johnmaloney
lol....that screen name is funny considering... I think I have some left, I have to check after today's shipment. Easier to do inventory that way...Online business is strange I have a whole cooler of them here, but it may well be that I am out. Link to comment

johnmaloney
the chaeto should have about as many pods than the reef pods product so it should work out. Yep they are out for now. Sorry guys, I will let you know when we bring them back or a similar product. Link to comment
