This tank looks awesome! I like the new scape, I've always been partial to the rock bridge look.

Thanks, my banded shrimp likes to be underneath to center bridge.

installed my Tunze 9002. The size of it is prefect. The mounting magnets hold the skimmer to the tank very well. Setup was EZ. It started skimming after just a few min, This thing is a beast. :)

Thanks, i get my ideas and inspirations from studying other member scape.

There are some really great tanks on here!!!

I want to get a really nice fish for the tank, im not sure what yet.

My damsel is cool for now.

installed the heater. i like the fact i can see the temp. setting and adjust from the top.

Kept the temp all night at a constant 80. Also gave the tank a cleaner look.

Also installed the 14000k Phoenix Bulb. I thought since i went from a 20000K Radium to a 14000K Phoenix the light should be less of a blue tint. But if you ask me it looks just the same, maybe even a little more blue.

When i was placing the light fixture back in the canopy after i replace the bulb. The light fell in the water.

Luckily i had a piece of wood over the tank, so just the corner of the light got wet. Im just glad the glass did not break.

Reminder: alway make sure the glass underneath the bulb is cool before putting your whole hand on it.

Will install chiller this weekend.

Two months since my last post and so i have a few updates.

post-32904-1290385601_thumb.jpgpost-32904-1290385914_thumb.jpg

Lowered the light two inches.

Added 1/2 sea swirl working great. I like how the flow for the sea swirl deflect the flow from Mp10.

I did Mod to the tunze 9002 that make it easy to just the air to the skimmer. Added black air line with the air adjustable screw from seaclone to pump and zipped tied it to the UV. MOD WORKS GREAT!

post-32904-1290385575_thumb.jpg

Also added DIY ATO with two float switches also working great.

post-32904-1290385669_thumb.jpg

I made this DIY Frag rack for some frags i picked up for Frags-unlimited (thanks Jason)

made bigs changes. removed UV sterilizer, 305 Fluval and 150w Rena Smart heater.

I decide to build a sump. I used a 20L that i bought at petco (1 per gallon sale).

I also built one of those DIY PVC Overflow. It's working fine but i think i need to make adjustments.

Im using the Mag3 Pump and the 1/2 seaswirl for the return.

the Rena Smart heater wasnt doing the job, so i decided the use the 300w inline heater that i had for sale.

Im glad no one bought it because it works great.

a few updates:

• Took off canopy, added light Hanging arm kit.

• Had a phosphate problem, Added 2 TLF Reactors w/ Mini Jet 606 (TLF HydroCarbon, D-D ROWAphos)

• suffered a Zoa Pox outbreak, Lost alot of my zoa.

• Found a few CE nudibranchs, i believe they came from a frag a bought at the LFP.

Dipped my rock and coral, Everything is starting to look better.

• pick up a few pounds of LR.

Because i bought a 36" current orbit that i got stuck with, I was going to upgrade to a 40g Breeder but i decided not too.

I would need to upgrade too many other things and right now i dont have the money. But im glad i didnt, i sold the light and used the money to buy the Reactors,Media and Hanging arm kit. Im really happy with the changes :)

I wasnt happy with the pox and the nudibranchs. But i learned my lesson. DIP YOUR FRAGS!!!!!!!

Very nice tank. It looks like you've put a ton of work into sense you've set it up. You said you were planning on some other upgrades? Anything specific?

Thanks, Pyrocreep. I learned from many, many, many mistakes :)

As far as upgrades.

Protein Skimmer: the Tunze 9002 works but when it comes to skimmers, Bigger is Better.

either a Bubble Magus BM-NAC3.5 or Reef Octopus 4" Pinwheel

Kalkwasser Reactor: If the DIY Kalkwasser Dripper doesnt work out. Have it running for two days and it working fine.

Controller: Would love to get a RKL but rather spend the money on other equipment.

I will get one, those thing are COOL.

The star polyps have open up nicely. In the last FTS you can see it wasnt open.
