guia x
Is that so? hmmmm Don't mind if I keep thank link for an upcoming XSi do you? I don't mind. It's Canon's page so I have nothing to do with it. Yeah the EF-S 17-55mm 2.8 is a great lens. The only problem with it is the build quality isn't as great as the L lenses. But it gives you pretty much same focal range as the 24-70mm as if it were on a full frame camera. Link to comment
nanoreef-R
Interseting I must say. Definitely trying it out. Link to comment

animalmaster6
Thanks!! This is a funny thing. I didn't emean for it to come out like this at all. I accidentally moved the camera quite a bit right when I took the pic and it came out like this. I want your backyard You've got some cool bugs around there! and I was just busting your balls, I just thought it was funny that the thread had no pictures Thanks I love my backyard. One of the favorite things about my house. My backyard is really big (Used to be a field) so we get lots of wildlife in it. And I figured that. It just got really annoying that just about a whole page is of people critiscizing me lol. Looking good, AM. Are you letting the camera choose the focal point? Thanks D. What exactly do you mean? I still haven't read through the entire manuel yet lol. Link to comment

What exactly do you mean? I still haven't read through the entire manuel yet lol. you gotta learn to roll with the punches. we were just messing with you. and i mean that canon's typically have a mode in autofocus that allows the camera to choose what to focus on in the image. some of your pics were out of focus in the wrong places, so i'm wondering if the camera picked the wrong thing. i set my camera to center focus so i know exactly where it's focusing. Oh very few of them were. Most of them I did manually. I don't really like the idea of having the camera do the focusing. Link to comment

Pls share any tips you find. I just purchased the same camera and I'm still learning as well. You're waaay ahead of me. Wow thank you! I doubt I'm ahead of you. I just got it and I've barely read through the manual. The rainy day and caterpillar pics came out really good! This is by far my favorite pic Inside the Forest! It turned out so nice! I will definetly share any tricks! Here's one: Before you take a pic be sure to make sure you are on the right setting. Many times I've ruined a bug shot by accidentally taking it in auto or landscape, not close-up. It makes such a big difference! Link to comment
sublunary
That's the coolest caterpillar I've ever seen. I really like the rain shots. I was going to tell you "inside the forest" is fantastic, but you seem to already know that. Link to comment

Orange Crush
Did someone already say this? Quit putting your subject smack in the center of the frame. It hurts my eyes. Kthx. Here so you don't think I'm just being annoying http://digital-photography-school.com/rule-of-thirds Studies have shown that when viewing images that people’s eyes usually go to one of the intersection points most naturally rather than the center of the shot – using the rule of thirds works with this natural way of viewing an image rather than working against it.
