bitts
yeah icy's hole tank was unbeleavable its what got me into having a display fuge, i think. still wondering if it (icy's gorg) would be in a macro tank if said tank were biotopic vs just a bunch of stuff throne in cause its cool. maria or am, you can probable anwser that better than most. or maby bongo shrimp if we can get him to post in here. later i plan on a dedacted display fuge post. most likely move post #22 to #21 and edit #22. so dont forget to check back near the begining from time to time. got2envy
I agree.. you can have a biotope macro tank, it can be macros from a specific area...I tried to do just caribbean but ended up just mixing it up Quote Link to comment
bitts
besides the macro what would or could be included while still remaining biotopic. gorgs, rics, anything cool. sorry its taking me awhile to update at the moment the little girl is home sick. Weetabix7
I'm hoping to get good pics and ID's on all of the Macros in my tank sometime this week. Bitts, I'll get those to you as soon as I have them. I think I have in the general neighborhood of 15 different types. Some you already have pics of, some you don't. Quote Link to comment

bitts
thanks animal. she seems to be doing better but not quite ready to go back to daycare yet. working on the ideas for display fugu section, but it is going slow. Quote Link to comment
animalmaster6
Why not add pics of the best display fuges you've ever seen? Quote Link to comment
bitts
the problem is that ive got lots of diagrams for there construction but few after that. lets see what i can find though. here's a bad cameraphone shot of my tank and display fuge. I'll try to get some better shots later on. I really like the way it's going. I'd like to get my hands on some more cool macroalgae for it at some point. Both tanks are 20L. The fuge is lit with 2 65watt PCs, 50/50 10k and actinic. I like the fact that it matches (more or less) the spectrum on the top tank, but I may go to at least one 6500 for better growth. There are some crabs and snails and a pair of very small gobies living down there at the moment. The pump and heaters, etc. are in the right blocked-off area in the fuge, beside the egg-crate-and-cheato baffle (which is a great microbubble reducer when the water level's right. I have an auto top off and a bit of extra baffling I need to get around to adding. and this is pretty cool http://schigara.smugmug.com/Hobbies/29gall...276858051_zKhFs Edited April 27, 2010 by bitts Quote Link to comment
