Guest nanoreefchris
I was told that tubbs grow slow but these things have sprouted 3-4 new heads in just over a month! Im forming a nice small colony of about 13 polyps now. They do however seem really tiny, do these things get larger or do they stay really small? Have you guys seen fast growth with these? bird
I would say they grow pretty quick. You can see them to the right at the end of last Nov and next pic about 2 weeks or so ago. I think the bigger types of zoanthids are the slower growers, but I could be wrong. My smaller ones seem to grow faster then the bigger ones at least. Link to comment

reefer916
My tubs seem to grow the slowest in my tank. I started off with 6 polyps 6 months ago and now only have 9. All of my other zoa's and paly's grow like crazy. I got some Jokers at the same time as the Tubbs and that frag has 30 polyps. I bought some Your Reef Candy Apple Reds a month ago with 2 polyps and now I have 5. It's weird, but I think it depends on the tank and the frags. I have Bamm Bamm's that are slow growers too. I'm glad your Tubbs are doing well.. I just can't wait till mine go on a growth spirt:) Link to comment
Chest Rockwell
My Tubbs grow surprisingly fast as well. It was a nice surprise as I too had heard they are slow growers and they are probably my favorite of all my Zoas. Link to comment
dixiedog
Mine were growing very fast til I bleached them. I moved them to the shade and they haven't done squat since. Gotta find a happy medium. Link to comment
