MrKrispy
here is the crab trying to hide in my rics. Interestingly, the "rock" the rics are mounted on is actually some sort of filter feeding clam or something. It snaps shut occasionally. Link to comment

TiGs
I got some red algae in my tank that is drving me crazy with growth. How are the emeralds doing against the red algae? Link to comment
MrKrispy
Is it cyano or red macro algae? Mine eats some of the red macro, keeps it under control. I have 2 emeralds actually, but one is in a separte "no light until the algae dies off the chunk of live rock" tank. If it is cyano (sludge) then ceriths and chemi-clean worked great for me. It hasn't come back. Link to comment
TiGs
It's some kind of red macro turf algae. I have to pull it out every 2 weeks with tweasers because it is smoothering some of my zoos. And that algae is starting to spread on other rocks. I even bought some new rock which is cycling in a different tank to replace some of the rock with red macro grwoing on it. PITA Link to comment
MrKrispy
Do you have any hermits? My red macro has been slowly disappearing the last few weeks.... I have a bunch of scarletts and 2 ermeralds. Link to comment
TiGs
I have two red legged hermits and they don't touch the stuff. Hopefully I can with the battle without tearing the tank down. Link to comment
