Zo0k365
Well i was just out kayaking around at low tide in Pleasant bay in Cape cod at low tide. I came across a shrimp that i have only caught once before called a mud shrimp. I dont know alot about them but i do know they burrow. I couldn't find much information online and i was hoping someone on here would have some info on them. Anyway i have him in my fifty gallon coldwater in a lemonade bottle with small holes cut through it to keep it from being lunch for my flounder, bluefish, or grouper. Pics later for the tank, its current inhabitants, and and the shrimp. Link to comment
Marteen
http://www.nwmarinelife.com/htmlswimmers/u_pugettensis.html Is this it? If so they are filter feeders and build tunnels in the mud for protection. Link to comment
Zo0k365
That's it actually. Thanks. Link to comment
Jamie
I would not recommend letting it out of the bottle. I had one, but everything in my tank really wanted to eat it. so they did. Which is probably what will happen in your case unless you have lot of fine sediment for it to burrow in. PVC pipe may also work. Link to comment
Zo0k365
Haha, that's kinda funny. But a little sad at the same time Anyway, mine died awhile a go for the same reason yours did. Mr Fluke thought it looked tasty. Link to comment
