jof
I want to frag this coral because it is getting very big. There are almost 12 heads and they are squeezing each other against the glass. Is this possible or not. What about the skeleton? Link to comment

bonsai reefer
A dremel with the diamond wheel and cut between the heads .Then soak in a cup of fresh sw and 1 drop of lugol's iodine for approx 15 min . then you are done. Link to comment
jof
oke this doesn't sound to difficult. But, maybe it's a stupid question, is there "live" in the skeleton, like flesh? Link to comment

SpankythePyro
I love pbt! I'm sad I can't keep one in my new 50br. Hopefully yours grow slow though because 2 tangs in a 66g could get crowded quick Link to comment

jof
I quit my freshwater planted tank. So i only have my reef-aquarium. The coral banded shrimp lost an arm a month ago. And just in 1 day after molding it grows back It is a little smaller than the other arm but i never thought it grows back in 1 day..... Link to comment
Needreefunds
Wow, that FW planted was very nice! I had a CBS do the same thing, kind of freaked me out a bit. Never would think it would happen that fast. Link to comment
jof
Thanks! I used a CO2 fertilizer for nicer plants. But they grow extremely fast so i had to pull out lots of plants every few days. And i like my Reef-tank much more so thats why i quit with my fresh water tank. Link to comment
yycguy
Hi Jof Great looking tank! I to am about to make the switch from the 130 to the 250. Just thought I would ask your take on the problems with the 130 are they fixed on the 250 ie the skimmer, micro bubbles, ect thanks for any information before I make the purchase. Link to comment
jof
Hi yycguy The skimmer works much better. You have to wait for 2-3 weeks before the skimmer starts to work. a few more changes are: You can reach the pump much better. You don't have to take the hood off. There is a mediarack. A viewing window on the left side. Now you can see how much water there is for the pump before it starts to suck air. Lights are better and there are 8 LEDs. and there are more little things that makes this tank better than the 130. Link to comment
jof
new fish and coral 1 cleaner fish 1 algea blenny 1 duncan coral (is there anyone who bought something at directsealife.com....?any comments about it?) Link to comment

I like the idea of the 8 leds. Your tanks looks great............. Link to comment
jof
There is still 1 watt per liter of water but the look much brighter. 3 actinics and 3 10000K bulbs. My acro grows better in the 250 than the 130 and i don't ad any extras. So it must be the lights........i think. Link to comment
