Well since Richie Skillzy started to poke around here somewhat of an update w\o pics. The move went well except for the Flame angel. I took the water level down so low that he got stuck behind a rock and .... um..... drowned?????

Moved the tank with everything still in it except only about 2" water above the sand line. Just enough for the clowns and damsel and wrasse to stay upright. (as stated not so much for the angel though)

Picked up the front of the stand enough to get 1/2 of a bed sheet under it. then the back to get some sheet under it. Now all four leg posts are sitting on the sheet. My son grabbed the front of the sheet and I pushed carefully from the bak of the tank stand. Viola, no sand mixing, no landslides All went well. (as stated not so much for the angel though) Reverse the process for when the rooms were done and the tank is back in it's original space. Did some hellashish cleaning and some fragging and Viola!!

Will get some new pics when I have some time.

Sucks about the angel, but great news on everything else. Only losing one thing during any kind of move I consider a success. We're almost ready to start shopping for our own home, I'm not looking forward to moving the 180 again.

Nope, especially not to move houses. This will be my 4th move of a 72" tank. We tried to leave the sand in it last time we moved. We couldn't pick it up, had to lose the sand.

Oh btw, don't know if you ever saw my answer on OR but I sold the carpet nem. I had moved it to a 27 cube and then decided I needed to focus on the 180 so I sold all of the cube off. New video in my 180 thread, its doing well since I decided to focus my efforts.

So, Henry, do you test or dose for anything? I'm starting to keep sps in the 180 so I'm seeing what people who've kept them successfully do.

10 ml each b-ionic 2 part in the morning.

1 ml vodka\vinegar in the am and again in the pm

2 drops Brightwells amino in the pm

Prodibio Nano Pack once per week.

Skimmer

Change filter floss every morning

20% water change per week

feed frozen, flake, pellets heavily each day.

Thank you for the "keep them successfully statement!

Yeah, probably not gonna slide a 180 on a sheet to move it!

Wouldn't that be some sheet! :o

Sorry about the Angel. Overall a successful move for certain.

Love to see some pics Henry. :)
