masterbuilder Posted January 30, 2010 Author Share Posted January 30, 2010 No reason other than I have used Tung Oil for years and have been through the learning curve. I like the look of it as well. Nothing wrong with poly though. Just do your best to do several very thin coats. Thick coats sometimes end up with a blueish hazey look. Link to comment
MEDGE Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 I think i will probably thin it a bit and shoot it on if we ever have a non humid day here in Houston. Trying to do it right this time, my wife laughed my last stand out of the house. Built it by hand in my garage of sub par materials, decided to use my real tools this time and should be able to bring this on in the family room. Still not a nice as yours though, that is one fine masterpiece. Link to comment
