Im moving it over a little farther tonight. I noticed yesterday before they were fully open that the hammer has a little tissue receded.

I can't wait to move so I can actually glue stuff down!

was hoping they would get along. I have a bare spot in my rock work where I'd like to put my orange wall hammer, but I have a larger green torch that would occasionally touch it. Guess I'll have to find something else to put there.

So, we finally closed on our house on October 1st. I had a 55 gallon for all of my corals and anemones, and a 125 for the rest of my rocks and my fish. This allowed a few things: 1) I could take my time moving instead of having to rush to get the 180 set back up. 2) It allowed me time to re-do the plumbing and a few other things. This was the 5th time I've moved this tank. It was by far the easiest move yet. I'm still thankful that we were finally able to buy a house so I never have to move this thing again. Enough words, here's some pictures:

The first load getting moved.

This is the first time I've ever had to put the tank on a crawl space, so the floor needed reinforced. One of our customers at the fish store sells construction materials. He was able to get me a 10' scrap of engineered, grade 1 6x6. Its a serious piece of lumber. I can put whatever size aquarium there that I want to now. Thanks to my friend hooking me up I only had to spend $9 on some concrete blocks. I was afraid I was going to have to spend a few hundred to reinforce that floor.

The new plumbing, now equipped with gate valves, instead of ball valves, to give me more control over my herbie style drains. 34 glued connections and 4 bulkheads; not a single drip of a leak. I was proud. It's also as silent as 1800 gallons per hour can be. The skimmer is the loudest thing on the tank.

I still have to plumb in the separate 20H refugium. It will be fed from tee'd line off of the return pump, and drain into the first chamber of the sump along with the other primary drains.

I also put a shelf just above the canopy to hold my ballasts and autofeeder. I'm going to mount the moonlight on the bottom. I've also installed a fan on the wall next to the shelf. I think I'm going to do another fan on the left side, too.

My chromis are tiny, aren't they? This isn't the biggest one.

This guy is in QT, getting frozen trained. He ate Mysis last night without any ghost shrimp.

He's about 4 inches long right now. I sold my shrimp and none of my fish are really that small. I'm hoping I won't regret having a lion in my reef, but I've wanted a lion for so long that I have to try it. I don't have room for a big enough FOWLR to keep one. I went with the Antennata because they don't get much bigger than a dwarf lion. Plus they're gorgeous.

I also have an African McCosker's, an Exquisite, and the prettiest Lubbock's I've ever seen in QT. I'm waiting on a large blue spot watchman to get delivered to the store. For some reason we didn't get any of the gobies that we ordered on yesterday's shipment.

So far, I'm really happy with Version 3.0 of my 180.

I'll try to take real pictures soon.

The antennata ate a lot of mysis tonight, again with no ghost shrimp. He only eats them out of the turkey baster, he doesn't realize its food once its floating in the water column. No complaints though, he'll eventually figure it out.
