Now for some Progress!

When we got the stand back from the soon to be father in law who thankfully is a great carpenter. He managed to cut the faces off the drawers and turned it into a full door that still looks like the original 3 drawers.
I also helped him reinforce it on the back and bottom to help disperse weight.

Looking good man! I am glad you finally got some shots on here of it!

I agree with Pismo, hence never drilling a tank myself haha.

i would ditch all the 90degree elbows in the return line and just go with that black tubing you have after the T. those bends are restricting a lot of flow.

The return pump is 700gph and the overflow has been reduced to 1" with a few bends. Should be more than enough flow dialed in with the ball valve.

Just wondering if the carpet is to remain there... hmm I'd be afraid it would rot out in time with water spillage or drips? Looks great though. I had planned to rest mine on an industrial type carpet as well but after having some water spillage with tank maintenance and additions.. I am glad I opted not unless it were rubber or some sort of plastic maybe. I'm just being cautious of my wood floor finish and wipe up quickly, its easier I think.

Yeah actually we put down some hardened plastic to help prevent rot and discoloration of the wood floors and under the tank/sump. Our floors do need to be refinished but no reason to make it worse than it already is :P

I like what you did with the Stand, cool idea....GLWTB :)

Thanks. Your 30B looks amazing. Love how the scape encompasses the clam. Have something similar in my 24G but I like yours better
