Wow, that sucks!

I have one in QT right now and he's small maybe around 1" or so.

Thanks Asureef - Tell me about it - I was not happy this morning. You will like the Sunburst / mine was active and always swimming around the tank.

Do you have an estimate on the footprint of your SC-65 after you modified it.

I'm in the market for a nano skimmer trying to find one to fit in a space no bigger than 4x6in.

A rough estimate after the modifying I did is 3.85 x 6.5 as the the skimmer chamber is only 4 x 7. But I did notice that you can shave off a little from the air intake cap that goes over the pump but I dont think it's more then .25 as it still needs to be able to attach to the pump. You can try and shorten the water outlet pipes from the skimmer but not to sure if that will work or not because it has to match up the with the hole for the water level. Hope this helps.

Did a water change on Sunday and this was what the SC-65 skimmer pulled out from 12/15 - 12/18.

Only three days of skimming :

Hey, cool tank B)

I'm pulling a similar about of skimmate too, makes you never want to go skimmerless again, doesn't it?

You got that right Joel

This Saturday one of my submersible fuge lights went out. I would have tried to replace the bulb but the wire was corroded, so I made my own fuge light that I mounted behind the tank with some Velcro. The only real hard part was going behind the tank to scrape some of the paint off with a razor. Below are the pics of the fuge light build.

How do you like your skimmer. Is it easy to tune.

I love my skimmer. Once you have it set / or dailed in (which is pretty simple) right now I have it set at 3.5 basically between the 3 & 4 mark on the skimmer. This thing pull some of the most awful smelling gunk I have seen. But once dailed in a set it and forget skimmer. Well worth the money. :D
