Can reptile lights be used for saltwater aquariums?

Hey guys, I have a couple unused old reptile lights and I was wondering if anyone could tell me their kelvin or if they are able to be used for a reef setup? One of them is a Spiralux Compact Fluorescent Bulb and the other is a 100 watt zoo med halogen bulb. I would like to use these bulbs because I have several single socket bulb light fixtures and I would like to use them instead of having them kicking around.

Thanks. :P

No. They are either far too low a kelvin color temp, or emmit far too much UV-B for them to be safe.

Try getting rid of that junk on craigslist or a petshop heavy in reptiles and score a decent fixture. If your going to do a sw nano your goingto want to do it right or your just going to be tossing your money down the drain quite litterally. Take it from me the king of fools. I have to do everything wrong before I do it the right way.
