Your tank is very nice! What is the coral object in the upper center part of the tank (it seems to have a bubble-like tentacle)? Thanks!

That is red grape caluerpa. I was trying to grow it but my turbo snail ate it all yesterday. DOH! Now he can focus on the green stuff I guess.

What kind of substrate is that? Can you still had starfish and some sand shifters using that. I really like the black. Awesome tank.

I would not recommend a starfish in a nano just becuase of how tempermental to changes in water chemistry. But I do have sand sifters in my tank. They substrate is "Natural Wonders" black calcite sand.

Does that calcite sand do a good job of becoming live sand at all? cuz it looks so stunning!
