It's hard to believe that it's been this long but here it is. The monti cap is just about too big for this tank and shades over half of it. It's grown into such a beautiful piece so I will move it to another tank before I consider fragging it.

Wow fab, this is just incredible. Good luck figuring out how you're going to trim everything down. Haha, it looks like you have more coral than water in there...

Gorgeous! if you wanted to, you could pick up everything and set it like it is in a larger tank, then do a new pico project Wink

I've thought about doing that but I just don't have the room for another tank right now.

Scubasteve, the light is a LED retrofit. Check out my tank thread for more details: http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=136990&hl=

Needs a good trimming - not going to lie, I liked it better before! hahaha... now I can barely see what is going on, on the left side...

LOL. I have the same problem with my monti, it is starting to block out major light. There is a huge area below it that I don't dare even put a coral Sad

Oh don't let that happy picture fool you, there's a lot of stinging and fighting that goes on in there. Especially between the monti and the millepora and the green favia that's eaten away half of the brain coral which you can't see because it's covered up by the monti. I almost feel bad for the mushrooms underneath the monti, their stalks are stretched to about two or three inches just to reach for the light. lol
