thanks everyone. I like the hydor just for the randomization of flow. I think some might say it decreases flow too much but i dont really think its that noticeable. I've had the plate for a pretty long time now, going on 2 years i think. It seems to perk up after solid food feedings and i think this is the secret to keeping them long term.
The sand is arag-alive Indo Pacific Black.
