Interesting! Is this something starfish do with temp drops? It was a couple degrees lower for an hour or so. 5 gallons at ~66 degrees into 22 gallons at 78.5

Sudden cold water events have been known to spark spawning in sun corals. Perhaps that sudden flush of cold water put them into hubba-hubba mode.
