Corralife 14 Day 8

Looks like a small tank for a Tang

it is... My wife had to have dory and my LFS said we could bring him back and trade him in, so at some point he's going to go back

Sounds like an excuse to get another tank

is that day 8 after the cycle? or just day 8 since you got it?

That was day 8 period. The shop I bought it at sold me everything you see there, some "instant cycle" beneficial bacteria that I put in on a Friday and added fish on Saturday. His directions and yes now that I've read I see most don't recommend that and let's understand I don't either. However, so far so good tank seems to be doing well. Ammonia/Nitrites always zero, nitrates seem to hover from 5-10ppm (hard to tell, colors are so close on the chart). I've since added two snails and four hermit crabs. Pulled out an 8" bristle worm which I hear is good for the tank but the thing was scary looking and bigger than any of my fish. I hope there are other smaller ones.
