Full Version: 10g [Custom] Can I plumb together with a current 2.5g?

Planned on building a custom acrylic ~8g tank, then plumbing it into a 10g fuge. The catch is that I planned on also having my currently running custom 2.5g plumbed into the 10g as well (shared fuge/sump). Both will be on my dresser, right next to each other, hence the shared fuge.

10g fuge would only have 5g max in it, and 3g total for 2.5g (incl. external overflow box). Well under the 22g max allowed.

I'd like to enter the 8g into the [CUSTOM] contest for the fun of it, but I can understand if people have issues with plumbing an already mostly matured 2.5g into the system.

Let me know. If not, I won't be entering the contest then

Unfortunately it won't qualify. The rules require all systems to be empty at start up.

Understandable.
