my question is can I mod any equipments? like power head, I know the rules are 400GPH total, but can we add sutffs like Hydroflo or tubes or stuffs? and also can we mod the pump itself like cutting the outlet or soemthing like that?

also can we have any DIY stuffs in stock setup? like a skimmer incorporate into the HOB filter

third, can we do any mod to the tank itself? like drilling or making false back?

I know there is a seperate contest for custom setup, but I just want to make clear that what can be done in stock setup. thanks.

there was another thread about false backs, or drilling, those are not allowed in stock, i believe.

if you read the rules carefully, i'm sure it'll be clear. i think the main allowable mod was modding an ac50 into a fuge, from all the threads i've read.

i wouldn't imagine modding pumps (aside from hyrdor flos, those reduce the flow) would be allowed. maybe one of the mods can clear this up.

sounds like you should be in the custom category! smile.gif

No drilling, no false backs. No modifications to pumps outside of using basic accessories that come with most pumps.
