Is the 5.5g volume limit a limit on the water volume in the sump or the total sump capacity?
i.e. can I use a 10g tank for a sump but only fill it with 5.5g of water?

I meant total sump capacity, but now that you mention it, I'm going to revise it to allow 10gal of total capacity.
