i'm kind of confused... how does ICA hang on back?

THANKS FOR ANY ASSISTANCE

i'm trying to drop the temperature on my 6g (not NC) to under 70F.

Hi adin,

Unfortunately the hang on part is a DIY project. Basically if you can keep the ICA out of the water, by either making brackets or putting plexiglass above the tank and "placing" it there, it will work.

Originally, the design of the ICA called for a 60mm fan mounting location, but at the request of some customers, they were looking for something that would work with their other, non closed top tanks.

If you are creative (god knows you are), the ICA should be able to fit your setup.

What are your parameters, Temp, lighting, room temp, etc. I can give you a rough estimate if 70F is attainable.

hi again,

change of plans. i'm going to make a firm commitment to the cold water setup. the tank is 18" cubed and 1/4" glass (25gal).

i'm pretty sure the 1/15hp current would be able to pull the tank temperature below 70F but i'm worried about condensation.

the tank will be up on our loft (my room haha). we don't run the air conditioner unless the heat is beyond unbearable (rarely). the loft can get warm, but i leave the balcony window open 24hrs to keep the air up here circulating.

i guess my question is... do you have any experience with the 1/15 on either the 24g nanocube or aquapod running cold? DO YOU HAVE THE EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE TO TEST IT IT FOR ME?

A couple of questions:

1. Can you post a better picture of the HOT or custom ICA? I cant tell from the site if it will work with my acrylic canopy.
2. I think that if I drill out a hole for a 60mm fan toward the back of my compartments and use longer grill screws than it should be ok?
3. What are the dimensions?
4. Does the ICA have to go after the filter?

Thanks.....
