I got sucked back into saltwater by accident.
There was a clownfish that was going to get flushed. I am a sucker. I can't let that happen. So the lil clownfish's flushing was put on hold. I was looking for a small tank, but found a 29 gallon at a great price and had a stand for it already. I dug out my 40watt light. I didn't need a lot of light, I wasn't going to do a reef.
I'm running a Koralia pump and a Aquaclear 30 filter. This was supposed to be LOW TECH smile.gif

So I got some LR and sand and water from a cycled tank. I let the water sit and cycle. I put the clownfish in (named Pat fish) and she's happy. And the next thing I know, I'm SUCKED in!

The tank now have 5 sexies, a pom pom, a fire shrimp, 2 mexican turbo snails, and 2 blue/green chromis. The original clownfish is now thriving!!!

But I feel that the tank has spiraled out from under me and I need to make some accommodations to keep it happy.

I'm interested in possibly upgrading my filter and adding a skimmer.

Do you guys think it'd be beneficial?

you honestly dont have a huge bioload...with only 3 fish and some inverts in the tank.weekly water changes would be enough to keep everything happy.

maybe upgrading your filter to an aquaclear 70 or 110 and convert it into a fuge might be a good idea
