gravity fed is the way to go if you can. i made a sweet one and it keeps the water level perfect, don't have to worry about pumps,valves,flooding. watch the temp if its sitting on the light

yes, still a mess as I just installed a few things, the New ES MP10, Media Basket, Fugue Light, Tunze 9002, Led Retro. all over the last few weeks, so I have yet to move the tank back as i'm not done. Next i'm building my Fugue/Sump and once that's complete it'll be time to dress everything and move the tank back into place.
