So I was at petsmart today and saw a seaclone100 skimmer for $89. I was considering it for my 20 gallon semi aggressive reef. I have a rio nano skimmer right now. I like that the seaclone uses a maxijet and air valve. Never have toreplace an air stone

which I don't in the rio nano either but I was wondering if the seaclone is a better skimmer than the rio nano? What are your reviews and thoughts on the seaclone 100 skimmer?

Seaclone is one of the worst skimmers that you can buy .

If you want a decent cheap skimmer go to aquatraders and check out the PS75, it's the best skimmer under a hundred bucks. You can get 2 for under a 100 as a matter of fact. Work in sump or hang on the back.

I used to have one, and it wasn't too bad, but I was always messing with the air input to make it skim. I agree with the others and would avoid it.

for that amount of money you can easily pick up a lightly loved tunze 9002 which will out perform the seaclone by a long shot. My friend took an old seaclone and put a lower flow pump on it then stuffed it with cheato and made it a hob fuge for his 30 gal AIO tank..

So if you needed something for a 34 gallon with a sump which would you go for a PS75 or Bubble Magus BM-NAC3+ Protein Skimmer?
For the price the PS75 seems to be the answer but was wondering about the BUbble Magus..

I had a NAC 3+ on my 46 gallon bowfront with 10 gallon sump. Worked great, needs a pretty stable water level though. I upgraded to a 60 gallon standard with a 20 gallon sump and the NAC3+ was stretched a bit thin.. It's rated up to 80 gallons.. I sold mine a and bought a tunze 9005 which is rated up to 130 gallons..

I had one.. It wasn't bad but the bubbles were kinda plentiful, once you get the bubbles under control, which mine went away after about two weeks and then ran fine.
