Out of these two, which would you guys consider to be better and what are the pros and cons of each.

Milwaukee

Sybon

I could get either on credit so don't worry about the price difference.
Lawnman
Sybon

Do you have personal experience with it? How is it compared it other good refractometer.

Out of curiosity, what are some of the best brands of refractometers on the market as refractometers seem to be one piece of equipment were people dont overly recomend brands and people more or less just get what they can find

I have always had a sybon, worked well.

I see you have credit but a we have the cheaper

I have a sybon, I like it, haven't owned any other brand tho. I like the clarity on the scale.

Both are decent...I have both, sybon is better in my opinion. However I dont like the screwdriver calibration on either. I really prefer my vital sine with the twist calibration the best.

But out of the two go with the sybon, easier to read and keeps its zero better.

How often would i need to recalibrate either to keep them accurate?

I check every month, lot of factors here but monthly is safe

I've been using a Sybon I got as part of a site group buy here on N-R about 7 years ago and its been bulletproof. In all those years I have had to actually calibrate it once although I do check calibration every 3 months or so. Keep it clean and put it back in the padded case after each use and it will last for years.

Thanks for all your help. Unless suddenly hear some bad review i'll probably get a sybon.
