First my heater dies then when I am cleaning out my Saphire skimmer I drop it and it breaks into pieces. So now I am in the market for a skimmer for my 24gal JBJ Nano..


Any suggestions. I would like to keep it in the tank if possible.

I hear the tunze 9002 is a good and small skimmer.
Don't know iit fits in there or not.
Sucks about the heater and skimmer.
I have had plenty of those days at work.

I don't think the Tunzee will fit in a 24nano. I have not found a skimmer to fit in the 24 yet, so I am looking at a hob skimmer. Any suggestions?

It's a new skimmer by Hydor. It looks like it has promise. It's supposed to be available sometime in September.

Tunze 9002 with the magnet mount will fit in a nc24. I have mine in the middle chamber. At work so no pics ATM.


edit to add:

you'll want to get a modified collection cup tho, b/c if you have a surface skimmer, the water level in back will drop and the factory cup will prevent you from lowering it enough to properly skim.

an aqua c remora will work great.

I heard the remora will not work on the 24 as the hood will not open. So now I may have a reason to buy new lights
