I have bought a filter with a built in surface skimmer. Has anyone used a filter like this before? PRos and cons please?

what filter brand/model? is it actually just a surface skimmer or is it a built in protein skimmer like a skilter?

That would include a surface skimmer.

I actually tried this filter on a FW tank. It was very noisy but the surface skimmer worked.

Filter is running in new SW tank. Seems to be doing ok so far.
