ive had a fighting conch for maybe 8ish months in my 15, the tank was relatively now maybe 4 or so months and there was lots of algae and cyano and now theres none as far as i can tell, as for algae i only have this red hairy type stuff after gfo and carbon helped me get rid of my algae for the most part, (snails too?) i dont think my conch is in good shape, he used to be all about and now he just stays buried most of the time, maybe hes starving? am i flattering myself here? maybe i should give him away?

yes, i'd get rid of it. They need more room and algae than that.

Mine likes to eat algae wafers and detritus.

He loves algae wafers though!

eh, not trying to feed my cuc and none of my fish will eat it
anyways, im giving him to my friend whose tank is relativeley new and starting to add coral, should be some algae for him there, plus i can visit him

Sounds like a plan. They need pretty significant amounts of stuff to do well. Those requirements only get steeper as they get larger, though.
