Hi everyone
I bought a small LED light with 12bulbs. 3" in diameter 1.5" width. 2.8watts I assume this is better than the same but halogen @ 20watts, due to heat. This is for an overhead back chamber fuge.
Please confirm.
Secondly the store had a set of 3 LED linked together. I could put one onf the fuge and two next to my stock compact white and blue light. 28 watts each. Would this be good. Don't really understand the benefit anaylsis between compact versus LED
12 gallon aquapod with only mushrooms, xenia and zoas. CUC and two anticipated clowns for the future.
Please help.
Cheers.

For a fuge, use a halogen. It will work much better.
LEDs only start to have an advantage when you move up to true high power LEDs (1W and higher). These can't be submersed easily. Submerging the light and putting it in the middle of the macro algae ball offers much better results than shining a light down on it with only a small area being lit.

I agree with the LED god, use the halogen if heat is an issue get one of the 7 year compact flourescents and a shop light fixture.
