I just picked up a used nova extreme unit with 6month old stock bulbs. A lfs is selling aquascience bulbs on sale for $12 each. Are these bulbs worth buying, or should I hold off for ati or geissman.

If anyone uses aquascience bulbs, what bulb combo are you running? I want to have a more blueish look.

Thanks in advance for any input/opinions.

If you want a blue look to your tank then you definitely want to go with a couple of ATI Blue+

The aquascience 22K is a little bluer than an Ati Blue + bulb. The 15K aquascience is a bit whiter than an ATI Aquablue Special. I have used these bulbs for the past year, and I like them, PAR is maybe little less than the ATI bulbs, but for 12 bucks, buy em. I know when I got them, they were a few dollars more than ATI bulbs.

yeah i read somewhere that the AS 22k is more blue than the ati blue+.

What im debating now is bulb combo.

would Two 22k and two 17500 duo be TOO blue? or should i do two 22k, one 17.5, and one 15k? i heard the 15k is more like a 10k. I dont wanna have to buy an extra 15k just to check the light color and be disappointed, haha.
