Hello all! I'm currently on day 46 and 2 weeks ago I added my first fish, a sixline wrasse. I'm wondering if Friday is to soon to add in a pistol shrimp and gobi? I have about 15 snails 1 emerald crab and a bannded coral shrimp in my 24g aquapod. Thanks

I wouldn't see why not. Assuming your parameters are in order.

Thanks chris!

Water levels have been solid for almost 3 weeks now. I'm running chemi pure elite, filter floss and cheato in my intank media rack.

Is your rockwork on your sand? Or did you put the rock in before the sand? Im asking because mine rearranged everything, and digs out tunnels below the rocks. If I didnt have the rock in first there wouldve been major problems. Another FYI, in the shrimps mind its his tank, so he puts things the way he wants them....no matter how many times you move it back. tongue.gif

Just curious, why did you go for a 6 line? From all I've read, they tend to be #######s.

Just wanted to let you know to do alot of research before adding those pair. I added mines, and have had a cloudy tank for over a few months. My shrimp has been digging everyday. I kinda regret adding my shrimp. Anyways, happy reefing!

Thanks for the info guys. I put the rock in after the sand and judging by what I've read the last couple of days I decided not to add them. Sounds like it could end up being a pain. I'm just going to add another fish. Any suggestions on a fish that is safe with a young sixline?

Xris, I love my sixline. He swims through the rock work and is very playful. His colors are awesome and I'm very happy I got him.

Do you have any other fish other than a sixline and how do the live together?

A Cinnamon clown fish, Clown goby and Orange spotted prawn goby. Everyone is very happy.

The wrasse used to nip at the clown goby but this was when i first added the wrasse. Now he just swims in and out of holes in my rock work.

I freaking love my 6 Line. Coolest fish ever. I added 2 false percs and they all get along fine. He eats the hell out of flatworms and parasites. He's very active. Awesome fish.

well that's all good to hear smile.gif I agree they look very cool, but always thought they were jerks. I might have to check them out now *ponder*

One thing about a sixline is that you will never see him after your lights turn off.

Sixlines are semi-aggressive; one common recommendation is to add them last. The one I had was a fin nipper. There are more peaceful wrasse choices like a possum wrasse. You won't see them at night because they wedge themselves inside the rock to "sleep".
