Anyone else ever have this problem? Had this happen back in 1994 with a full size one. He ripped the tentacles of the BTA's then they died. The pair I have is 1.5" in size and the nem is 8-10 fully when lights go out. The female pulls on the tentacles and is pretty much never stops buggin the nem. Got the GBTA several days after the clowns, and it doesn't seem to happy anymore. It moves around alot and isn't bubbling cause I think it wants to be left alone? Any way possible this little fish could remove any tentacles? Percula clowns in the past never acted this way towards my BTA's. Seems maroons are just to aggressive. Wondering if I am going to have to get rid of this clown or wait it out? Thanks

It's not too uncommon for clowns to nip at or mess with an anemone when they first start hosting it, which unfortunately kills a lot of anemones that are a bit too small for the fish hosting them.

Basically everything I've ever read about maroons said they're by far the most aggressive on their nem.. so.. yeah. That sounds about right.

Research is your friend. Specially in this costly hobby.

My Maroon nips at my frogspawn and is pretty aggressive. But I think he has met his match with the sixline I put in there. wink.gif
