Full Version: What to do with a 25 gallon cube?

I'm going to be transferring my reef from a 25 gallon cube (18x18x18 and its a glass tank, not Biocube, Aquapod, etc...) to a 40 breeder I'm currently working on in a couple of weeks. So that means I'll have the 25 gallon just lying around.

Wanted to get ya'lls ideas for what I should/could put in the 25 gallon?

Originally though seahorses, but I want something that isn't quite that care-intensive. Also thought Octopus, but tank is too small.

would look cool with rics and gorgs all over the place, and then an army (15ish) of sexy shrimp, plus a trio of orange-lined or long-spined cardinals.
Oceanus
mandarin breeding pair ftw!

i think brooklyngal's idea is pretty cool. That would be awesome if you did that!

Brooklyngal's suggestion is interesting/creative! Definately take under consideration.

I just thought of another idea too and wanted to get ya'lls input. I was thinking of doing a mini-kelp forest biotope (I stress mini). I have relatives in Santa Cruz, CA, and love diving the kelp forests.

I know Kelp isn't the easiest stuff to grow, but I will have an extra 150w MH lying around and can get a chiller, etc...

Anyone have any experience doing this kind of thing?

you could do an army of clown gobies or a tope of your area (if you live near an ocean)
