hey people, jsut wondering if you can shed some light on this subject... bought two clownfish at the weekend, everything is going really well water parameters near perfect.. doing a water change tonight... there is a large torch coral in the tank which they have been getting closer to all week... stayed over my girlfriends last night to come home today to find them with a dull black marking and slightly swolen undersides (although i had noticed this part shortly after feeding) is this due to my torch stinging them? if so will they be ok? they seem to be swimming fine, and look a bit dopey like they do in the morning... but they seem fine and ate fine, will the black go? and will they get used to it and host the coral properly?

thanks

Is it like little black spots here and there? It's pretty common, they naturally like to rub up against torches and frogspawns since they're kind of like anemones. Once they build up a tolerance to the sting the spots will go away smile.gif

Yeah... Ok as long as they'll be alright! Only thing is my
torch seems really hacked off! I may get another coral to take the pressure of them going to it all the time, what would you suggest? My tank is 12g

thanks
