I just purchased a 29 established tank its now running at my house now and has been since sunday I am wanting to add more sand can I just poor it in or what do I do?

You can add sand whenever assuming you don't have any fish in the tank. If you do have fish/inverts etc (I hope not if it's that new) then you could still add sand but would need to do so in small doses since it'll stir up a lot of stuff in the tank.

he said he purchased an established tank.... so how do you know if it's too new?

But yeah, rinse it reallllly well and add it in small doses.

It was set up for a while before I got it not sure how long but, everything is testing good and i have the filtration done something like what you have. Just new to salt water and wanting a bigger sand bed. I got the set up at a deal so i figured what the heck

How deep is the sand now? Why do you think you need more?

The sand just barely covers the bottome of the tank I have it spead out to look like more but it barely covers the rim on the bottom maybe 1/4 inch in places

wow, that is pretty shallow haha.. I'd go with what was said, rinse it well to avoid a duststorm and it should settle pretty quick.

you can use a funnel and tube to help get it to the bottom as neatly as possible

+1 on the funnel and PVC tube idea, otherwise you're going to get a massive sandstorm. As long as you don't add in like 10lbs at once your tank should be fine.
