I JUST signed up for membership but I have been reading through all of the beginner articles and forums for the past few weeks. I'm really excited about starting my first nano and will do my due diligence of researching, asking questions, and keeping anyone who's interested updated
I have my first question. I thought i'd start with a 14 gallon and recently bought a biocube 14 stand for it (no fish tank yet. just the stand=it was priced well). I then realized that 14 only allows for 1-2 fish at most and ideally i'd like 2-4 which 29 can better suit.
Including fish count, is a 29 gallon easier to manage? I plan to do weekly water cycles but i'm imagining that a 14 gallon is more concentrated than 29 so risks are higher with 14. I do understand that 29 requires more supplies (rocks, sand, corals etc) but i'm more focused on the manage factor and the fish count.
can someone kindly help with this? would love to befriend nano buffs

Welcome! I am new to this forum myself but this I have resurrected this hobby few months ago after a 3 year break. when I came back to this hobby i bought the BC 8, but then as I got into the cycling part, I found that there's a lot that I wanted to do with it and the space/size limits me. I moved up to a 55, which I enjoyed a lot, then i bought a BC 29 HQI just for corals. I guess what I wanted to say is that, this hobby can get you pretty engrossed in it and you may want to always put some additions (like your favorite car). That and the fact that, when you have a big tank, there's plenty of headroom and room for some mistake.
I would suggest go with the 29, always check back here for some advise (I always do), always research a new gadget (skimmer, lights) before you buy. I always found that the nano's are really fun to decorate because it's easy to fill unlike my 55.
Good luck!!
