Would a 2 bulb t5 fixture ( coralife t5 $120) be able to support soft coral in a 55 gallon aquarium? i would like to go 4 bulb but it would have to cost less than $175. please help me

I might have something for you. I have an old 4 x 55 Watt JBJ Aqua light. The ballast are bad. But you can get them for like 25 bucks each. You would have to wire them in but it may help. You interested?

im thinking something new sorry. im trying to reseach for aunts tank shes only in town for2 days and im the "fish expert in the family"
anyways could that coralife fixture support soft coral?

I'm gonna say...Nope. 55's are pretty tall and just two 48" (?) bulbs....imo..would only be good for a FOWLR.
Look on ebay for t5's. You'll find some knock-offs pretty cheap. I would say the min would be a 4bulb.

Would you say that 2 bulbs could support some macro? Well i got her the aquaticlife link fixture so that later oon she can upgrade to 4 bulb then if she gets a 75 a 6 bulb
