I'm currently running the nanotuner 70W HQI on my Biocube 29 (still utilizing the 2 stock 36W PCs). Can anyone comment about the LED retro that they sell? The kit looks like it's high quality and well integrated for the BC29 hood. Given that it's time to change all the bulbs for my current setup, I was thinking it might be worth it to upgrade to LED lighting. The fact that the LEDs last 11 years is very appealing.

Additional Info:
I recently downgraded from a 90 gallon with 500W SE Halides. Like my previous setup, I plan to house SPS in the BC29. Any help would be very much appreciated smile.gif

Hey Track,
Nanotuners are a very high quality and customer service oriented small business. I don't have these led's, but am going to grab some type of led's from them soon when I see their full line-up. I have purchased a couple retros from them and the instructions and components were top notch. I have researched the led retro's they have for the Biocube family and they are high powered with high par. From what I have seen, it looks like a very integrated retro and what is nice is you can mix and match the led's to your color preference. If it was me I would grab the retro with 2 strips white and 1-blue.(or 3 white and 2 blue for the 5 strip version) I also would choose the option to grab my own drivers and pick up some dimmable meanwell drivers so I can dim them and choose my kelvin temp. Either way you can't lose..it's a quality setup from a reputable company. No bulb changes for many years, dimmable led's...what's not to like? Hope that helps....
