What is your favorite shrimp goby? This will helpe me decide on my tiger pistol's next partner.

And post pics!
bamfcolorado
how can you say no to this?
Squared
What a nice little goby! I would prefer a smaller goby, but a I am open to suggestions.
JMAdams
Yasha!
Squared
I would really want a yasha but they are just so expensive...
bamfcolorado
maybe a red head goby then? max size is about 2". They are rather small

or if you want something really small you could get a red striped goby.
Squared
A red head? I don't think those are shrimp gobies. If you could give me a link, I can decide if it is or not.
bamfcolorado
oh dang completely forgot about the shrimp part until i saw the title again. Whoops..my bad. alright on to more searching tongue.gif

I voted for Hi Fin Goby.

Some others to add to the list are the magnificent Shrimp Goby, Steintz Goby, Blue Speckled Prawn Goby.
Squared
I was thinking, and it seems I will have room in my budget to get a yasha goby. But I think I will get a cheaper goby and then get sexy shrimp instead.

Still want to see favorites!
bdesper311
gotta go with the yasha goby... they are by far the best looking
Billdemart
YWG are the best looking by far imo.
Squared
Looks like tha yellow watchman is winning...

Post pics if you can, so I can see the prettiest goby!

Do you think a YWG will get to big for my 12g nano cube?
JMAdams
This is my Yasha when I first got it.

Billdemart
That Yasha is definitely beautiful ^

Squared
Nice gobies! But I'm still deciding.

I had a randall's shrimp goby with a tiger pistol. It was relatively shy, but I liked when it would raise and lower it's dorsal fin like a flag.
Squared
In what size tank did you have your randalls goby? How big was it?
nano427
can I squeeze in a quick question please, are these gobies jumpers? and if so are any less likely to jump out of open tops? btw yasha and hi fin are my two favorites
Squared
Gobies are jumpers. My first hi fin jumped sad.gif .

Can a keep a randalli goby with a copper cardinal fish and a green clown goby in my 12g nano cube? Or is that to much bioload?
Squared
Yasha might win...

It would be a stretch to keep 3 fish. 2 is a better number. I think the cardinal would do best in a group (in a larger tank).
Squared
I thought the randalls might be to big. 3 fish in my nano never caused problems. I don't feed too much as well.

I think I will get a wheeler's goby. It is inexpensive and a little different than other gobys. I already ordered it, too.
