What type and where can I pick up some aquarium safe silicone? I am doing a project and need some water/aquarium safe silicone to connect a piece of Acrylic to a glass tank. Thanks!

I used the regular clear silicon sealant you can find in any hardware store to build my sump, with no issues. If you are still sketchy on that stuff, you can go to your LFS or a Petsmart or something and they have stuff specifically labeled as "Aquarium Safe."

From everything I read for my cichlid tank, GE Silicon I and DAP Silicone is ok. NOT GE Silicone II or DAP Silicone Plus. I used both for my cichlid tank and for my reef tank. Reef tank is too young to worry about anything I think, but nothing bad happened to my cichlids.
You most definitely do NOT want anything that resists mildew.

I used GE silicone I without the midlew as well in my 75g FW and it has been set up for almost a year with no ill effects, i also re-sealed a 20g tall at that went a year and a half with nothing bad happening

Acrylic to glass will could need a better grade of silicone than normal. Would the seal be on the inside as an overflow, a baffle, false wall. Or a more demanding joint like an actual exterior plane of the tank.
The silicone that has been mentioned pro's & con's from what I can see in the photo. Is 100% pure so hopefully no mildew blah blah blah. Says glass to plastic so may be formulated spacificly for a type.
No silicone bonds well to acrylic so just be aware.

Okay well I plan on returning it, just not worth the risk in a new set up to me. I just ordered this and just hope it'll hold my false wall firmly in place. The wall will be acyclic and siliconed into place on a glass aquarium.

or any in the silicone thread. in case black would work better. make sure to suport the false wall correctly to minimize the load on the joints.

From everything I have read GE Silicone II is completely safe and is formulated to have a much stronger bond than Silicone I.
I used it in my sump and saw no ill-effects after a year of use

i have heard that as long as you use 100% silicone sealant no matter the brand but cant have anti mildew properties you will be okay. if you dont use the 10$ "aquarium safe" stuff just let it dry a little longer. i let mine sit 4 days. no problems.
