So I am buying a Fluval Edge and want the best deal possible. An online supplier sell it for £80 with a free heater, and free delivery orders over £50. At the LFS they say they will not "knowingly be beaten on price" and I asked if that counted net offers. Yes. So their one is £90 no heater. I showed them a photocopy of the site and they said they could compromise, £90 free heater.

I know you should support your LFS but I want it cheap, not all 10 year olds have a job ...

What do you think?

I know what you are going to say ...

in my opinion it just depends whether they can help you achieve the ideal tank you are looking for or not. If they only provide things that are okay and you want something different then oh well. also maybe see if it is something they can order in house. that way it is the best of both worlds. i guess it also depends on how patient you are-local stuff is right there and able to take home whereas online you have to wait
