Hello
I have a 10 gallon nano which I would ultimately like to make home for a clown pair. I would like to get them while they are young so that they can mature into a pair (1 male, 1 female). Does anyone have any experience with mated black and orange Ocellaris?? I am talking 1 black, 1 orange. Will they fight? If they are the same species but different colors, is there still a possbility that they will mate in the future? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no personal experience with this, but I found these that might help answer your questions.

I just added a black Ocellaris to my tank yesterday and he paired up with my orange one almost instantly. They are now joined at the hip.

Your tank is under a month old right? You set your tank up on March 3rd I believe. Too soon to be adding fish IMO, I would wait another 2-3 weeks at the least. And yes that those types of clowns will get along fine.

Thanks but no worries... I'm not getting my clowns until I have a filter (I'm looking to get a CPR Bak-Pak when I come across a used one for under 100; for now partial water changes and UGF are going well) and I want T5HO lighting as the icing on the cake before I get anything else. I haven't even added a CUC yet. I'm just checking out my options beforehand. Premeditation is key. Thanks for your concern tho!
