Tank been up for 11 weeks. 7.8pH, 1.025, 0/0/(something less than 10, damn API). Frogspawn has been in there for 2 weeks or so, added green brain coral and acropora frags in a few days ago. Frogspawn looks as if he's being stung.

Thoughts? I'm talking about the greenish-bluish-blackish parts on the frogspawn

pH seems a little low, what other livestock do you have in there? Is the frogspawn getting enough flow? I see the power head in the back but it its pointed behind the rocks. The tentacles seems to be different colors because it is partially receding. IMO it needs more flow and try to get that pH around 8.2 HTH

It has been wide open for a week, moreso after I moved it to this position. Previously it had been pretty closed up b/c it was getting too much flow. The powerhead is a K1, not a KNano. I have: 4 types of zoas, green brain, acropora small frag, star polyps, yellow figi leather, frogspawn, cleaner shrimp, cuc, royal gramma.

Frogspawn like moderate to high lighting and low flow. I'm guessing you've moved it down from the top of the rockwork to its new position, it could be adjusting to the lighting. Frogspawn is an aggressive coral and is normally the one doing the stinging. It could be getting tagged occaisionally by the brain however if they are too close to each other.

The pH it acceptable, albeit at the lower end of the scale. pH is influenced by many factors in the aquarium including CO2 levels in the room, whether the measurements were taken at the start or end of the light cycle, water chemistry.... We have not been presented with enough information to draw the conclusion that it should be raised.

If you can arrange for it to be in sunlight for just a few hours a day it will double in size. I think it is a lighting issue.

Can you turn your tank or open a shade?

i would move your toadstool down and your frogspawn up. you can take it off that ugly frag plug, you can jam the base into a hole in the rock. it doesnt look like anything is stinging it. i think the green is just some pigment in the coral itself.
Zepo.
After being bothered or moved it can take days for a frogspawn to fully expand again. Yours looks fine to me I wouldn't sweat over it. I <3 frogspawns one o my fav.
