Hi
I am going to set up a tank for softies and mushrooms(first reef), the measurements are: 8"h-16"l-16"w
What kind of light do you suggest for them?
Thanks

You don't need too much. PC should work fine. You may have a hard time sticking to just softies though. That was my original plan too, but there are so many cool corals to learn about and collect.
The new mini T5's coming out from Nanotuners/Nanocustoms look really cool.
I started with just a PC, but am now upgrading my lighting for harder corals and better colors in the corals.

I wouldn't use those. They use a lot of light because of their shape.
You can get away with normal PC or CF lights.
