Does anyone have a idea on how much alk can be dosed maiximally per day. I'm trying to bring it up to about 10-11 Dkh from 8ish. Just don't want to rush things to fast. I also use oceanic salt and it starts with an reading of 8 (recently switched). Moderate coraline growth and several LPS in a 10 gal with several zoas and softies. I need to start buffering this before water changes I am assuming. Thanks for your help. Ca is 480; Mg not tested; SG 1.025.

Go about 2 dKH per day is ok. 3 is also ok (IMO), but you may as well just take 'er slow.

I have gone as high as 5 dKH in one day and had no problems. But it was over a 12hr period.

I would bring it up slowly, like .5 a day.

Keep an eye on your ph when you dose for alk. I've read that you dont want your ph to rise over .20 while dosing.

Depends upon what you are using to dose. Baking soda will actually decrease pH very slightly in seawater. Should be safe even in relatively large amounts as far as pH is concerned.

I dose a little over 2dKH worth every day, usually in a single dose. Nothing seems to mind.
