Im trying to add a bit more light to my 12g nanocube as well as n actinic feel. i currently have a 70w mh fixture with a 14k ushio bulb but it just isnt blue enough for me and if i try a 20k bulb my stonies will die. i was thinking of adding 2 blue leds to the fixture so that i can keep the deep blue/purple/red sps and really make the color stand out. i want to be able to keep any sps in my nano without melting any of my lps/zoos. the problem is i have no idea how to go about doing so, and im not even sure if 2 bulbs will do the trick, I would like some input from the pros.

Which MH fixture are you running?

im using a fishneedit.com fixture it doesnt have to necessarily fit inside the fixture i just want to add a little more light that i can attach with glue or w/e over the tank

Have you thought about adding one of their 2 bulb T5 fixtures to it? They have brackets that mount the two together. Ask them if they can ship without bulbs and get some decent bulbs.

its to big my tank is only 16" wide and theyve been out of stock for quite some time.

Well, that screws that idea smile.gif

For a simple option, you could look at the Ecoxotic Panorama module.

Would i be able to keep acros and millepora with this and the 70w mh combined?

You could keep that with just the 70W if you wanted.
